Fashion For 2011: How to Transition Your Wardrobe From Summer To Fall

Hey fashionistas! You don’t have to go out and spend tons of money buying a new fall wardrobe. All you have to do is follow a few steps and you can use your summer wardrobe to create some fabulous fall outfits. Below check out how to transition your wardrobe from summer to fall with just s a few easy steps.

1. Shorts

If you dare wear summer shorts, try to keep wearing them for as long as you can transition into fall. You can keep warm if you have to with a pair of thigh high leather boots or by layering your shorts with a pair of designer leggings/sheer tights.

2. Floral Dress

You can keep your summer dress in the mix by layering it with a denim jacket or army jacket when the weather gets cooler. You can always incorporate a pair of fall army boots to give your girlie dress a rough edge once it’s time to put away your summer sandals.

3. Crop Top

Keep some of your summer sexy by wearing some flirty crop tops paired with your favorite summer ripped jeans or try Rihanna’s tailored pant and crop top look. We’re sure that we’ll see a few girls at our local fashion mixers wearing this style.

4. Maxi Dress

You don’t have to put away your Maxi dress so soon. Like your floral dress you can throw a denim jacket on top of it. You can also put a cropped blazer or a leather jacket on top of your edgy Maxi to give it more personality and at the same time it will provide some warmth when the weather cools down. This comfortable causal look is perfect for outdoor frolicking.

5. Cream Blazer

Take your summer paint box color bottoms and pair them with a cream blazer like Cheryl Cole pictured above. And check out Kim Kardashian with her Maxi dress and blazer. And check out Gabrielle Union with her floral dress and long tail cuffed sleeve blazer. This look is crisp and put together.

Your wardrobe doesn’t have to shrink because the season is changing. The trick to smart dressing is using what you have to make a fashion statement. Adding simple layers to yoursummer items will take them a long way. We hope you’ll try some of these suggestions and let us know how it goes. Keep it locked at wikifashionista.com.
